We believe in:-
1.1 In the Triune God
(Father, Son and Holy Spirit) as
based on the Hoy Scriptures
and affirmed in the words of the Apostles creed, which we affirm in
its entirety.
1.2 In God, the Father
Almighty, infinitely perfect
and eternal, who created the
world and everything in it and whose prevenient love for us knowing no
bounds has ultimately mase provision for human redemption.
1.3 In Jesus Christ as True
God and True man, and as
the One and only foundation
of the Church. That by his death on the Cross has made atonement for
our sin and its consequences. That he has ascended into heaven and is
our High Priest and Advocate who shall return for His own and to judge
the living and the dead.
1.4 That the Holy Spirit is
one with the Father and
the Son. That the
ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glory Jesus Christ. He convicts men,
regenerates the believing sinner and indwells and guides, instructs
and empowers the believer for Godly
living and service.
1.5 That the Holy Spirit is
active in the lives of
Christians today leading us
into all truth and empowering us to live a victorious life over sin
and all forms of spiritual enslavement.
1.6 In the Holy Scriptures
both Old and New Testament,
as the inspired Word of God,
the complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of man with
divine authority of Christian faith and conduct. We therefore believe
individual and corporate Bible study and prayer for the edification of
Christian life.
1.7 That man created in the
image of God, has fallen
into sin and therefore lives
in the state of degradation and in alienation from God. That he stands
in need of salvation.
1.8 That salvation is by
Grace through faith in Jesus
Christ our Lord, whose death
and resurrection provide the only basis for justification and
salvation. No human being has the ability to save himself by his own
works of righteousness. The only way is to receive Jesus as one’s
Saviour and Lord and be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit.
1.9 That the true Church is
composed of all such
persons who through faith in
Christ have been saved and regenerated through the power of the Holy
Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ which HE is the
head. That the Church’s main task is to bear witness to His works in
Worship and Preaching, Healing and other Ministries.
1.10 In the Sacrament of the
Church, Baptism,
Eucharist as essential to
Christian life. We are aware that these Sacraments are Symbolic
expressions of the Spiritual reality of life in Christ.
1.11 In the second coming of
our Lord Jesus and that
this blessed hope has a
bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.
1.12 In the resurrection of
the dead, the believer to
everlasting blessedness and
joy with the Lord; the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting
conscious punishment.
